Update July 18, 2010

This past week was fruitful in many ways. Thank you for your prayers! A week ago Barb ministered at Shepherd Assembly of God and Weldyn minister at Zion Gospel Mission. In each of the services the presence of the Lord came upon the people. People worshipped and magnified the presence and personage of Christ.

Today we are in Cebu, Philippines. Again, the preciousness of the Spirit of Christ was evident in the service. Weldyn preached from Colossians 3.15-17. This passage has three significant principles for the follower of Christ to bring to the market place – peace, thankfulness, and the Word of God.

We will remain in Cebu for the majority of the week and work alongside Immanuel Bible College. We were with the president and his family this evening. The stories of the college’s present day students involved in ministry blessed our hearts. It is exciting to hear how the first year class is proactive conducting weekly Bible studies and instrumental in planting new churches.

Our prayer request: We desire the presence of Christ will rest upon us. Tomorrow, Barb speaks in Chapel and Weldyn speaks Tuesday morning. We will also be in a couple of classrooms challenging the students in the areas of curriculum design and principles of teaching. Plus we will work with the institution as it relates to accreditation. Thanks for your prayers.

Also, please pray for one of our Northwest University students (Ema’Lee Schill). She will commence her semester abroad in Bangkok, Thailand in about three weeks. Please pray that she will get all of her travel arrangements made, suitcase packed with appropriate items, and protection as she travels. She is excited about this experience.

Thanks for your prayers, they are greatly appreciated!
