What is your goal in life?

What is your goal in life? This is an excellent question to ask ourselves. One scripture comes to the forefront: “that I may know him and power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.” Philippians 3.11. As we go through each situation of daily life, we must have this scripture as our standard!

  1. I love this question and your answer as well. As believers it is good to challenge ourselves on a regular basis as to what our goals in life are. We can tend to get so caught up in the day-to-day living that we lose sight of our primary focus in life. That we may “know him,” clarifies our focus. And to “know him,” so well that we become “like him,” in all that we do and in every situation is possible through his power alone. But it is possible!

  2. I am reminded of another way to phrase, “what is your goal in life,” to “What is God’s will for your life?” The answer is the same, Weldyn, as you highlighted in the Philippians Chapter 3 passage. Alignment of your goal and God’s will results in one moving in the right direction and achieving more than one can imagine.

  3. Thanks for your comment! Everyday it is my inner most desire to make sure I am following God’s will — that is where I am the happiest!
